This week marks the crazy run up to Christmas. Rushing
around, shopping, Christmas plays at school, Christmas party with work, etc etc
etc. I’m tired already!!
As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I’m trying to do a “Handmade
Christmas” this year and making at least 1 gift for everyone in my family. I’ve
decided that handmade ornaments are the way forward this year!!
So far, I’ve managed to turn my hand at:
I’ve gotten a request from my Bestie for a cuter reindeer….I'll post later about that project!
While I was working on that, Theo and I were talking about
Christmas presents. He’s heard me mention to his Dad countless times about a Smash Book...this is definitely on my
Christmas list this year. If you’ve not seen these before, go and check them
out NOW!!
I love organization and this book is genius.
I guess the word Smash book has been in Theo’s subconscious
for weeks now ‘cause he asked me the other day if he could make one for himself….How
awesome is this kid????
He wants to make something himself. *cue proud mom*

We collected all of his outdated Annuals from him room and
started cutting out all of the images he liked. I was amazed at how precise his
cutting skills were. He’s only 6.
After we’d cut all the pictures he wanted, we got out the Mod Podge. We used a spiral note book that someone had given him for his birthday as our book.

Theo arranged the layers of images as he wanted and even
found the T H E O for his name!
He now has something super personal that he created, to fill
with anything he wants. He’s become quite the little artist recently….
We love this project and it was great to spend time
together, crafting.
