If you go in to any (or most) Charity / Goodwill shops, you can find at least one loner chair. A chair that's lost all his mates and is in need of some serious attention. A chair that looks like it may have had a life once, like in the '80's. A chair that you would otherwise avoid at all costs. Well my friends, don't avoid BUY IT!! 'Cause you can turn in into something wonderful.
In my post about Theo's Comic Book Chair I mentioned that I got the chair in a charity shop for £3. At the time, I bought 2 chairs. One, I knew I would use for the comic book project, and the other for £5 that just had a lot of charm.
Pretty cool, huh? I thought it needed love but nothing a little paint and some fabric couldn't fix, right??
Step one: Strip it down and sand!!
Step two: Paint!
Step three: Find fabric you like and have your trusty staple gun handy!
Step 4: Put the seat back in and you're done!!
Okay, so if you take away the drying time between coats, this project literally took me 1 day and £5 for the chair. Most of you have paint kicking around the house and fabric pieces in abundance, right? Why not go any try this one? It's super easy ;-)

I love this! In New England (and other places, I hear) it is popular to put unwanted items on the curb. Recently, there was a full set of 6 chairs similar to these that I picked up. Free! They are in my garage waiting for some love, and I'm excited to breath new life into them. Great post!
